It's 2220.





The Sun Flares were an abnormal, unpredictable event. They ravaged the planet and turned the area between the two Tropics into the wastelands known as The Scorch. Now, almost a year later, survivors are still picking up the pieces.





Overpopulation and dwindling resources are rumored to be the main problems. A secret branch of the PFC --Post-Flare Coalition--, PCC (Population Control Committee), decided to take action.





Under the guise of blaming the sun flares for the catastrophe, the PCC unleashed a man-made virus -- The Flare -- to control the population. The virus was supposed to work instantly, shutting down the brain as soon as it made contact. But it didn't work out that way.





The virus has begun to mutate. People are living and spreading the virus, becoming nothing but mindless animals along the way. Now the world must live in fear of the virus alongside their other problems, and the PFC struggles to get a handle on the deadly virus and to cover their tracks in the process.
