Rules and Guidelines
1. Members should be at least thirteen years old. Since the admin is not old enough to permit mature role-playing I'm so sorry, such content is prohibited.
2. Absolutely no god-modding. The following definition is from the Children of Olympus forum: "Godmodding means that you perform an act that affects the other character without the other driver giving permission. This includes touching them in any way, saying they're doing something while they are not and anything that could be prevented if the other driver says so. This means that unless you have direct permission (which you must include a permission line at the bottom of your post for) you may only start the action and let the result of it be open. i.e. 'She reached out to touch' instead of 'She touched'."
3. We will be doing random activity checks and we expect you to be active in the role-play. When you are choosing which character you want to roleplay, take into consideration the Character Participation Requirements before applying. You are responsible for being active! If you are not active with your character for a month, we will PM you, email you, and then delete your character. Of course, if you are away, do post a note in the Leave of Absence board. Topics will be locked after seven days of no posting.
4. Stick with the posting order. Let's say there is a thread with Thomas, Minho, and Newt, and they've posted in the order. Before Newt can post, Thomas and Minho must have posted already.
5. No inappropriate writing. Implying is okay. Writing is not. (Or at least fade to black.) Also, relationships grow, not pop out of nowhere. Of course, an immediate attraction and flirting is fine. Love, however, needs to be developed and to grow.
6. Don't be rude to other role-players. This is a friendly environment, not a place where you can attack and harass others.
7. We have no word count, but please give the other role-players enough to work with. I'd say three paragraphs with three sentences each is the minimum.
8. There is no character limit, but keep in mind how many characters you can handle. You must be active with all of them.
9. Register with your OOC name/alias, and then go ahead and create a subaccount with your character's first name only since they do not know their last names. If you have any questions on how to create a subaccount, it should be pretty self-explanatory with Proboards' easy system, but see this thread.
10. Please, please use trigger warnings. I know people in this forum have issues they are very sensitive about and may have had traumatic experiences with them, and I want to make this place as safe and as friendly as possible. When titling your threads, use this system:
Faint Trigger: The lowest level of triggers. It takes care of the probability that someone will be triggered by something broad and common. Triggers for this category would be yelling, cursing, and the like, and should be tagged as FT in the thread title.
Moderate Trigger: This is for things that are potentially triggering and you know for sure they will be. These can vary from vaguely hinting towards the subject to going fairly in-depth with it. Triggers for this category include animal abuse, in-depth fighting, bullying, blood, etc, and should be tagged as MT in the thread title.
This is as far as we'll go.
11. When threading with someone, use the following format:
Thread title [Name of Character You're RPing With] (Trigger Warning Title)
So, it'd look something like this!
An amaze-ing time [Thomas] (FT)
