The Glade No posts have been made on this board.

The Glade The Glade is a relatively small area that serves as a living place for the Gladers. The Glade has four large Walls that encase it and separate it from the Maze. Each wall has an opening in its center, called the Door, that closes every night and re-opens every morning. In the center of the Glade, there is a metal elevator that the Gladers call 'the Box'. Once a month, a new boy arrives in the box with his memory wiped. Supplies and clothes also arrive in The Box once a week.

The Maze No posts have been made on this board.

The Maze The Maze contains many twisting and turning paths that hold horrifying slug-like, spike-covered creatures called Grievers. Only Runners enter the Maze. No one has ever survived a night within it, so they make sure to return to the Glade before the Walls close. Within it are the Towers with small and large numbers painted on them, the Blades that stand in front of the Towers, and the Cliff.

The Gardens The northeast section of the Glade where the Track-Hoes work and grow crops. Water is pumped in the Gardens.

The Circle A place where parties are held when a new person is sent to the Glade. Various "ceremonies" are performed, and people sometimes wrestle to see who's the stronger Glader.

The Watch Tree The largest tree in the Glade that has no leaves, making it perfect to be a lookout. It overlooks the entire Glade. There is a ladder one has to climb in order to get to the top.

The Homestead The northwest section of the Glade. There is a building where the boys sleep. At the back of the Homestead is the Slammer, a place that functions as a jail. It also has a room where the wounded are nursed.
